Dhadak is a 2018 bollywood drama, which is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. Dhadak is an official remake of Marathi movie Sairat. The movie marks the debut of veteran actress Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter.

The movie depicts the love between Ishan and Janhvi and they head over heels in love with each other, but the fact that they belomg to different castes of society, becomes an obstacle intheir romance. Madhukar belongs to a lower caste, which invites honour killings of both by Parthavi's kin.
